Keeping it toasty warm underfoot

Chiller Heat Pump For Parkview Primary School

Keeping Growing Toes Toasty at Parkview Primary

Parkview Primary School in Christchurch were upgrading its boiler heating system. Consulting engineers recommended the school install an energy-efficient water heat pump. One with the ability to generate hot water for the school’s radiator and underfloor heating systems.

Action Taken

Project HVAC supplied the school with a Clivet chiller heat pump to supply the hot water to power radiators and underfloor heating. Heat pumps work very efficiently and have lower running costs.

Pipeworks carry the heat from the heat pump to the manifolds, where it is distributed by underfloor pipe loops.

The heat pump controller modulates the temperature and volume of the hot water to precisely match the demand of the building. This is due to the variable capacity of heat pump compressors which reduce wasted energy to a bare minimum.

The Clivet ElfoEnergyMagnum chiller heat pump provides great overall reliability due to its double refrigeration circuit, robust design and high-quality components and assembly.

Total heating and cooling capacity delivered to the Parkview Primary School by the Project HVAC Clivet central chiller heat pump plant is above 120 kW. Its compact construction saves on plant room space and its intelligent automation ensures a continuous, trouble-free service.
